About Kyler
My approach to teaching saxophone is rooted in creating a solid technical foundation while also fostering a sense of creativity and self-expression. I begin with essential skills such as breath control, tone production, and finger coordination, which are critical to producing a clear, resonant sound. Once these basics are established, I focus on helping students develop their musicality by introducing techniques like phrasing, articulation, and rhythm. I encourage students to experiment with improvisation, as it helps them build confidence and deepen their emotional connection to the music. I use real songs and musical examples that are relevant to each student’s interests to keep lessons fun and engaging. I also provide tailored feedback and personalized guidance, helping students stay motivated and overcome any challenges they may face. Whether preparing for an exam, a performance, or simply enjoying playing music, I create a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to progress at their own pace.

My saxophone lessons are all about making learning enjoyable and rewarding. I believe that every student is capable of mastering the saxophone, and my job is to provide the tools, guidance, and encouragement to help you succeed. I teach students of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, and tailor each lesson to meet individual goals. I focus on building strong technique, with a special emphasis on breath control, tone development, and finger technique, while also integrating creativity through improvisation and learning by ear.
My lessons are designed to be engaging and interactive, and I love seeing my students experiment with different styles of music, including jazz, pop, and classical. I incorporate music theory, rhythm exercises, and ear training to help students understand the structure of music and develop their musical ear. My aim is to help students not only play the saxophone but to also enjoy the process of learning and express themselves confidently through music.
