About Orla
I have 7 years of experience teaching violin, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance focusing on Baroque Violin. I especially enjoy working with young children, using playful and age-appropriate strategies to develop strong ear training and aural skills from the very start. My lessons include storytelling, rhythm games, movement, and simple melodies to make learning both fun and effective. I draw on Suzuki and Kodály-inspired methods to build a solid musical foundation while keeping things light and engaging. I believe that early musicianship grows best when children feel inspired and excited to explore sound and rhythm. Through interactive activities, I help students connect with their instrument and develop listening skills that support their overall technique. Every lesson is designed to nurture imagination and joy in music, making the violin a friendly companion rather than a challenge. I aim to create a warm, supportive environment where young learners can flourish at their own pace. Together, we build not only skills but also a lifelong love for music.
