About Maya
I have over 5 years of experience teaching mathematics and hold an MSc in Applied Mathematics. My specialty lies in showing students the fascinating side of math through chaos theory and fractal geometry. These fields offer insight into how mathematics explains the complexity of natural and scientific systems. By using simulations and interactive visuals, I make topics like iterated functions, self-similarity, and strange attractors engaging and memorable. I welcome learners who are naturally curious, especially those interested in blending mathematics with disciplines like computer science or physics. My teaching approach blends mathematics with computational ideas. I create a relaxed environment where concepts like calculus, discrete math, and pre-calculus become more approachable through programming analogies. I enjoy supporting different learning styles. Architects can learn step-by-step problem structuring, while Proof Seekers can refine their reasoning and proofs. In every case, I encourage students to talk about computational challenges comfortably. My aim is to help learners excel and see math as part of their digital lifestyle, not just a classroom subject.
