About Holger

After gaining a Ph.D. in American Studies at Harvard (2015), I am currently teaching U.S. and global history at Bard College. I have more than 5 years experience tutoring high school and college students in history, literature, and writing. Get in touch!

About the lesson

I teach by asking questions of my students, challenging them to think on their own feet. What are you interested in when it comes to history or literature? How would you put your ideas into writing? I look forward to finding answers to these and related questions together with you.
