About Diogo
I learned the piano through the Conservatory program in which I took the V degree in 1996/7, VI of Musical Formation. At the same time, I learned jazz piano by ear and by reading an extensive bibliography. Later on, I embarked on a bi-etaphic degree (pre Bologna) in Production and Music Technologies at the School of Music and Performing Arts in 2001, where I attended the subjects of Musical Analysis, Musical Acoustics and Organology, Rhythmic and Notation during the 4 years old . In 2012/13 I taught at the Bemposta Professional School, Portimão, piano at the integrated level and at the Professional level Piano, Chamber Music, NOPA and Sound Physics. In 2011/12 I studied at the Jazz and Modern Music Atelier of the Algarve with the trumpeter Hugo Alves, pianist James Mellor more intensively, among others. In 2013 I joined the Orquestra Jazz do Algarve where I keep my activity.

In the teaching of the piano I have as main objective to reduce or eliminate the barriers / frustrations that lead students to lose motivation and taste in the individual study of the instrument. I am going to meet the students' tastes, as long as we can find examples that serve teaching in a varied, progressive and useful way. I try to make the student understand how to study effectively to make the most of the time he has. I can adapt the requirement to a level of who's going to professionalism or to whom the piano is a hobby and where fun is central. I can teach a Conservatory program (up to V degree), jazz or mixed.
