About Glimmer
Lyndsey is a lifelong musician and performer. She has extensive classical piano training and development with the Studio of Janet Woods, and has been playing piano for 15+ years. She's an avid flutist (12 years of study) guitarist (7 years) and vocalist.
She was a member of the Pennsylvania Girlchoir for 7 years, and has toured internationally to Costa Rica, Argentina, Uruguay, and Ireland. In Philadelphia, she has performed at the Kimmel Center, Woodmere Art Museum, and Philadelphia Art Museum. She was an ensemble member with Opera Philadelphia (Tosca, The Magic Flute) and Curtis Opera (The Cunning Little Vixen).
In 2019 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Theatre School at DePaul University, earning her BFA in Acting. She brings the superpowers of storytelling + somatic awareness to her teaching practice for embodied, emotive musical expression.

I teach ages 6-adult, beginner and intermediate levels learning piano. Lessons are very active - we will sing, use our ears, bodies, and imaginations to understand and apply musical concepts. Lessons consist of theory games, improvisation, body awareness exercises, customized repertoire, and tools to make practicing exciting and fresh. Whatever your musical goals are - I'm so excited to be your guide and play partner!

Lyndsey is passionate about sewing and a gifted teacher and creator. She made me a beautiful puff quilt that I cherish and taught me how to make the final ties when I had no knowledge of sewing. She is patient and kind and meets people where they’re at. She’s taught me and my kids in a deeply engaging way.
