For me, learning a language is about being able to freely express yourself. I will ask my students to be able to have a short conversation comfortably. So I want to know what the student wants to ameliorate et focusing on those things.
My typical lesson would begin with simple exercices on a notion, like choosing which words or conjugation is right in a sentence. Then they will complete the sentence themselves and after they will have to write a small text alone. I will be with the student during the entire lesson to guide the student. But I want to let the student make mistakes. That way we will be able to work on those mistakes and understand why they did it. I want to understand how they think and help them to comfortably realise that it is easy to learn French.

Perfect! Claire is a fantastic teacher!
