  • When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

My fascination with science began in high school, where the ability to explain natural phenomena captivated me. Excelling in subjects like math, physics, statistics, chemistry, and biology strengthened my resolve to pursue science as a major of my study. This fascination continued to grow in college, leading me to choose Civil Engineering as my major at the university level. The deeper I went, the more I was drawn to this field, motivating me to complete my undergraduate and master's degrees in civil engineering. Now, I'm pursuing a PhD specializing in emerging mobility to further explore and contribute to the field's research landscape. My interest in tutoring started early-I began by teaching my cousins and siblings after completing my O levels and continued tutoring professionally during my undergraduate studies. Teaching became a passion, eventually guiding me to start my career as a university lecturer.
  • What makes you passionate about your subject?

What excites me most about Civil Engineering is the profound impact it has on our everyday environment and quality of life. My fascination with science and engineering started with a desire to explain the world around me, but as I progressed in my studies, I realized Civil Engineering goes beyond understanding-it involves creating solutions that shape the world. Transportation engineering, in particular, allows me to explore innovative mobility solutions, helping improve people's daily lives and making urban environments more efficient and sustainable. This passion has driven me through my undergraduate, master's, and now PhD studies, where I continue to explore how emerging technologies can redefine our transportation systems.
  • What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof

I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to share my knowledge and help students master complex concepts in a way that feels approachable and relevant. With over ten years of teaching experience, I have developed a teaching style that combines clear, concise explanations with real-world examples, allowing students to truly connect with the material. My experience spans both individual and group formats, giving me the flexibility to adapt to each student's unique learning style and needs.
As a "Superprof," I'm dedicated to providing high-quality, engaging lessons using both my PC and iPad, which enables me to present materials in an interactive, visually clear way. After each class, I offer personalized notes in PDF format to reinforce learning and ensure students have valuable resources to support their progress. My commitment goes beyond teaching-I'm genuinely invested in each student's success and growth, empowering them to achieve their academic potential with confidence.
  • Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

Yes, I've been fortunate to have several inspiring teachers throughout my education, but one who stands out is my high school math teacher. He had an incredible ability to bring math to life, breaking down complex concepts into clear, understandable steps and connecting them to real-world situations that showed the practical impact of what we were learning. His enthusiasm for the subject was contagious, and he encouraged me to challenge myself and strive for excellence. His approach made me realize the power of effective teaching, and his dedication and passion for education motivated me to pursue my career in teaching. I strive to bring the same clarity, motivation, and relevance to my students, hoping to inspire them as he inspired me.
  • What are your keys to success?

Continuous Learning: I stay updated on my subject to provide students with the latest knowledge and effective teaching methods.
Student-Centered Approach: I teach from the student's perspective, breaking down concepts step-by-step and ensuring clarity without assuming prior knowledge.
Goal Setting and Assessment: By setting clear, measurable goals and tracking progress, I ensure both my students and I are always moving forward with purpose.
Effective Communication and Support: I foster open, encouraging communication to build strong relationships and help students feel supported in reaching their goals.
Organization and Time Management: Careful planning and time management allow me to deliver focused, well-structured lessons that maximize learning.
