Nick has a calm, patient, and encouraging teaching style that makes even complex strategies easy to understand. He tailors his lessons to the individual, ensuring that students not only improve their game but also develop a genuine love for learning.
I have seen firsthand how Nick explains openings, tactics, and endgame principles with clarity, always taking the time to answer questions thoroughly. His ability to simplify advanced concepts shows his depth of knowledge and his genuine commitment to helping others succeed.
Nick creates a supportive environment where students feel comfortable to make mistakes, learn, and grow. I wholeheartedly recommend Nick to anyone seeking a chess tutor on Superprof. He has the expertise, character, and teaching approach that inspire confidence and produce real results.Over the years my son has experimented with both group chess lesson's with different chess schools and private lessons with Nick and he finds that Nick's teaching style to be the most engaging and conducive to learning. He feels that he progresses the fastest while working with Nick. My son, who is now 16 and a very experienced chess player (~2200 ELO on chess.com), has expressed how impressed he is with Nick's experience and the comprehensive pool of resources that Nick has compiled over many years of playing, studying, and teaching chess.
