About Seth

I have brought many people to adore the game of chess. I got my brother into the game from scratch and he ended up becoming the president and best player of the club in college he was at! I have moved a lot and helped many local clubs gain more people and taught many.

About the lesson

Lessons will consist of chess knowledge, openings, puzzles, strategy, and of course playing the game.
One of my favorite strategies to teach as a chess coach is to talk about the “Why”. If you start to understand that, then you will become a better chess player.
I also provide a more kid friendly class, that will focus on the basics and make them more interested in the game.

Seth is a great tactician and great at explaining the essential principles of chess. I would recommend him to any beginning or intermediate player. I currently play in the 1500s and quickly have made progress under his guidance after being stuck in the 1200-1300s for years. Thank you Seth!
