About Clara
I have over 5 years of experience tutoring chemistry and hold a Master’s degree in Environmental Chemistry. My teaching focuses on a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, especially in the field of electroplating and surface finishing chemistry. I enjoy exploring topics like electrochemical deposition, material properties, and their practical industrial applications. In my lessons, we dive into electrode kinetics and bath composition to understand how coatings form on different surfaces. I also discuss the dual role of coatings—not only for aesthetics but also for protection and durability. This helps students see the real-world importance of chemistry in manufacturing and materials engineering. I work closely with students interested in applied chemistry, materials science, and manufacturing processes. My goal is to help them understand how chemistry transforms surfaces, creating durable and functional materials. Together, we explore how science can solve practical problems and improve products we use every day.

Chemistry is more than just reactions and formulae—it’s a world governed by deep mathematical laws. In my lessons, we explore the theoretical foundations that explain why chemicals behave the way they do. Topics like physical chemistry, quantum mechanics, chemical thermodynamics, and statistical mechanics form the backbone of this understanding. I guide students gently through these complex ideas, breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. We focus on uncovering the fundamental laws that control chemical behaviour, using maths to reveal patterns and principles hidden beneath the surface. My approach encourages reflection and curiosity, allowing students to build a strong conceptual framework. This helps make abstract theories more approachable and meaningful, connecting them to real-world chemistry. I am dedicated to supporting spectroscopy enthusiasts, toxicologists, and other learners in discovering their own path through challenging material. With personalised guidance and ongoing feedback, students develop confidence and insight. Together, we explore a deeper side of chemistry, opening doors to new ways of thinking about this fascinating science.
