About Andie
I entered this field in 2020 and wish that I’d known about this opportunity for extra support when I was a student. I have worked in private practices but have more recent experience in the public school system, having spent time in a preschool, multiple elementary schools, and a high school. I can share insights about what it’s like to work as a contractor VS direct hire by a district, what to expect in school VS private practice, what information is really essential for the workforce, and much more!

I’m stepping away from clinical practice to take care of my newborn and toddler for a while, so I want to use my skills as a clinician to give back to the field in a new way! I have experience working with children from preschool age through high school, including a wide variety of diagnoses and levels of disability. I’m hoping to guide and prepare graduate students who will be my colleagues soon and would like some extra confidence as they enter the workforce as a new SLP.
