About Ho Lam
I was born and raised in Hong Kong, stayed in New York ever since coming here for university. Grew up tri-lingual and have not fallen short on practice. I mostly have individual students, but have also taught small groups. Looking forward to meeting you and to helping you gain a new skill!

As a beginner, we will start off with a solid foundation covering phonetics. Lessons will bring up conversational topics based on your needs for learning Chinese. To practice we will also go over your favorite media in Chinese - a song, movie, book, etc. Leveling up will mean ability to read, write, and hold up a casual conversation.
For more advanced speakers, we will be doing a lot of practicing. This can entail advancing your writing skills, improving tonality, broadening range of vocabulary, perhaps learning some colloquials, etc. Leveling up would mean to be fluent and consistent.
I do not have a standard set class, but a fluid guide as each student requires a slightly different focus. So introduction is upmost important - Let’s walk through your goals!
