About Cassandra
I'm a qualified Portuguese Teacher/Tutor with a specialisation in delivering Portuguese education as a foreign or second language. Bringing 20 years of educational experience to the table, I possess a wealth of knowledge in providing personalised one-on-one lessons that cover both General Portuguese and Pronunciation.
My qualifications include a degree in Portuguese Language and Literature, which encompasses a broad range of studies from Latin and linguistic analysis to Brazilian and Portuguese literature, as well as educational methods, sign language, and literature aimed at younger audiences. I also hold a degree in History, with a focus on Brazilian history, the history of the Americas, modern and contemporary history, and educational psychology.
Over my two decades of teaching, I've offered private Portuguese lessons and worked with various language schools, teaching individuals and groups at all stages of learning, from absolute beginners to advanced learners. This includes general linguistic training and Portuguese for business contexts. I have a proven track record of success with students of all ages, starting from age 2, and I am adept at conducting both face-to-face and online tuition via Skype.
