While much of the population of New Zealand has European ancestry, New Zealand nowadays has very little to do with Europe. Around New Zealand we have Maori culture that is around us and is native to the islands, as well as the East Asian countries that aren't such a long plane ride away. Japanese and Korean toursists make their way to New Zealand when tourists can travel and it is much easier to get to Bali or Vientam than it is to get to Paris or London.

However, there is something about Europe, there are many different cultures and each country has a long and interesting history. Not only are the cultures and history interesting but of course their languages as well. There are 24 official languages spoken in Europe and more than 200 other regional languages.

One of the most learned languages around the world is Italian. Of course Italian is not as widely spoken as English, French, or Spanish, but many students wish to learn Italian as it is considered to be one of the most beautiful spoken languages.

There are other reasons students wish to learn, during the 18th and 19th centuries Italy experienced large waves of emigration of it's citizens to other parts of the world including North and South America, as well as even a bit in Australia and New Zealand.

If you would like to know how and where to learn Italian because you have some Italian family or just because you like the culture and language, this guide will help you find where you can study and some effective ways of doing it.
