About Scarlett
Kia ora, my name is Scarlett! I am currently studying in Dunedin at the University of Otago with plans of heading into genetic research, but I grew up in Auckland. I’m a big sister of two (four if you count the cat and dog), and I was also a volleyball coach, so I have more than enough patience to put into practice :D I love helping others and I live for those moments when something just clicks, and a student finally understands a tricky concept, or perfects a new technique. Your goals are my goals, and I would love to help you achieve them :)

I am NCEA excellence-endorsed at all levels and a double scholarship student in Biology and English. As of 2025, I have had four years of tutoring experience in all ages and school years, both as a freelance and company-employed tutor.
My primary goal is my students' comprehensive understanding of their studied subject. Patience, persistence and kindness are key tools in achieving this common goal, as well as an adaptive mindset. Different minds understand concepts uniquely; my job is to ascertain which mode of learning (pictures, rhymes, associations, etc.) is most enduring and efficient.
My lessons are typically one hour, at $35/h per student. I help with homework, proofread essays and can aid in the clarification of any confusing concepts.
