About Gregory
As a passionate musician, sound artist, composer, performer, and educator with a wealth of experience in the music industry, I am dedicated to sharing my knowledge and love for music with others. Coming from a non-musical family and a society that did not appreciate music & arts, my journey in music has been one of determination and perseverance. Despite the challenges, over the years, I have had the privilege of studying with esteemed mentors, collaborating with a wide variety of international musicians and artists, and having received commissions and awards from prestigious organisations around the world (London Symphony Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Vienna Concert Hall, Greek National Opera House and more). Furthermore, and driven by a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, I co-founded and direct the Metapraxis Ensemble, where we strive to create platforms for older and new music to coexist under the umbrella of interdisciplinary events and educational projects. In addition to presenting my own work, I curate and produce projects featuring living composers, sound artists, writers, visual artists, and designers. This is what fuels my passion for music education. I strongly believe in the transformative power of music and the joy of helping others discover and develop their musical talents. I am committed to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment where students of all backgrounds and levels can explore their creativity, expand their musical horizons, and achieve their goals. With a background in both classical and contemporary music, I offer a diverse range of expertise in composition, music theory, arranging, and performance. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced musician looking to further your skills, I am here to guide and inspire you on your musical journey. I believe that everyone has the potential to create and appreciate music, regardless of their background, and I am excited to be a part of your musical growth and development. Let's embark on this journey together and make beautiful music! * I am DBS checked and have received extensive safeguarding training.

Embark on a musical journey tailored just for you with my bespoke approach towards exploring, experiencing, and creating music. Sessions are designed appropriately for beginners, intermediate, and advanced students of all age groups and with a focus on your needs. Drawing from my extensive studies at the highest levels and international career as a composer and music education specialist, I offer a unique perspective and wealth of experience to guide you on your musical path. In our lessons, which typically last 45-90 minutes, we'll explore composition, music theory, arranging, orchestrating, and producing. We will touch on relevant areas of music history and music appreciation through a personalised curriculum that aligns with your goals and interests. You don't need extensive musical and performing skills to enjoy and benefit from my teaching, although any intermediate or advanced skills will be beneficial and will be used as part of the course. Moreover, I provide access to home studio (sound recording and producing) equipment and a range of musical instruments (acoustic and electric) as and when required, enhancing your learning experience and allowing for hands-on practice and experimentation. I understand that each student is unique, which is why I encourage you to arrange a quick chat to discuss my approach and methodology further. This initial conversation will allow us to get to know each other better and ensure that our lessons are tailored specifically to you. With a patient and supportive teaching style, I aim to create a nurturing learning environment where you can feel confident to explore your musical creativity. Together, we'll work towards unlocking your full potential as a musician, one lesson at a time.

Perfect! I asked Greg to help (very last minute!) with an upcoming music theory exam. His responsiveness and attendance was brilliant! I'm happy to say I have done really well on my exam and will be continuing with Greg further!

Greg has been teaching my 11 year old daughter violin for three years now and we are such fans of his kind, fun and inspirational approach to teaching. He is unfailingly patient and always prepared to try different methods if there is anything she is struggling with - for instance note reading. His lessons are so enjoyable thanks to his effective but relaxed teaching style. You couldn’t ask for a better teacher - we really recommend Greg!
Our daughter is very happy with Greg’s lessons, she has made great progress. Greg is methodical , attentive and very patient .We highly recommend him !
My son and I have both learnt the violin together from scratch and have had a great experience with Greg. Thoroughly recommended!
Gregory is kind, friendly, reliable music teacher and has a lot of patience with my son who made a big progress with his violin. Gregory always has a positive attitude and make my son quite comfortable during his lessons. Overall he is an excellent teacher.
Thank youGreg has been the violin teacher of my daughter for 2 years since she was 7 years old. Greg is professional and patient and talented, my daughter really enjoyed learning violin from Greg and she made really great progress.
We can't recommend Greg highly enough. Our daughter has had violin lessons with him since 5 years and enjoyed every minute. It's such a joy to see her musicianship grow and develop under his guidance.
Greg has taught both of my children violin for a number of years. The children throughly enjoy their lessons and Greg always makes them feel confident in their abilities.
When I asked my eight year old why she liked her lessons with Greg she informed me that she likes his approach to teaching and he is always kind and understanding and he has a great sense of humour.Greg has been teaching the violin to both my daughters for several years. He is patient and kind, quick to praise and notice their efforts. He takes time to explain things whilst also challenging them to think for themselves. It is also a guilt free zone when they haven’t practised! If you are interested in learning the violin, I would highly recommend Greg as a teacher.
My daughter has had violin lessons with Gregory for almost 4 years. She has made enormous progress, benefitting from Gregory's patient, calm and positive teaching style.
My daughter, 15 years old, has been practicing violin long time.
One tutor complained that she didn't practice two hours a day, and the other said, "You're amazing" every time, but her playing never improved.
Greg is totally different.
He considers the performer's technique and guides them with appropriate advice. Thanks to this, my daughter passed her grade test and this summer she will be attending an external organization's course on composition. It's all based on his advice.
We have full confidence in him.Greg has been teaching my daughter Violin for the past few years and she has come a long way! We absolutely adore Greg and he is a great professional and is also very kind and personable. I’d recommend Greg to everyone!
