About LUIZ

Undergraduate in Education with pedagogical knowledge, certified by Casa Verde Amarela to teach Portuguese as Foreign Language (PLE) and prepare students for the certification CELPE-BRAS.

We are going to prepare you to understand the grammar structure without going so deep covering an entire book, at the same time, we are going to compare the grammar with some up to date expressions sometimes challenging the proper grammar. Language is always alive.

We are going to exercise a lot of pronunciation as the Portuguese is one of the most complex languages regarding pronunciation. I taught Portuguese in private classes for British and Australian citizens in Rio for some years, as well I was a dancing instructor of Forró and Salsa in Rio (Oh god, I confess am a bit rusty haha). Nowadays I am teaching Portuguese in Sydney and making new friends. You will be always welcome ;)

Graduação em Educação com conhecimentos pedagógicos, certificada pela Casa Verde Amarela para ensinar Português como Língua Estrangeira (PLE) e preparar os alunos para a certificação CELPE-BRAS.

Vamos prepará-lo para entender a estrutura gramatical sem se aprofundar na cobertura de um livro inteiro. Ao mesmo tempo, comparamos a gramática com algumas expressões atualizadas, às vezes desafiando a gramática correta. A língua está sempre viva.

Vamos exercer muita pronúncia, pois o português é uma das línguas mais complexas em relação à pronúncia. Eu ensinei português em aulas particulares para cidadãos britânicos e australianos no Rio por alguns anos, e também fui instrutor de dança do Forró e Salsa no Rio (Oh Deus, confesso que estou um pouco enferrujado). Atualmente estou ensinando português em Sydney e fazendo novos amigos. Você será sempre bem-vindo;)

Perfect! Luiz is a fantastic tutor. He is perhaps one of the most committed, supportive and well-prepared tutors I have come across. He is constantly exploring ways to improve your learning, making learning both fun and easy. He goes at a steady pace, aligning learning objectives with your interests and goals whenever possible. He is always well-prepared for each lesson, providing well-structured content beforehand, but is also flexible to discuss or explore topics that you want to better understand.
If you’re interested in learning Brazilian Portuguese, Luiz is certainly worth trying – he will not disappoint. Whilst I am not based in Sydney, I find our online lessons just as effective as if we were meeting in-person. He is great value for money and truly committed in helping you achieve your goals.
