About Alex
Alex Bilodeau is an electric and upright bassist, professional musician, and educator in Austin, Texas. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at Temple College, teaching double bass, electric bass, and ensembles. He obtained his Master’s Degree at the New England Conservatory in 2019 and has been active as a performer and educator for over 12 years.

Students at all levels are welcome!
I always strive to integrate the musical identities of my students into my teaching. My lessons are highly personalized and are designed for each student. We can cover a wide range of topics including, time, groove/feel, bassline construction, soloing, chords/harmony, theory, ear training, improvisation, playing different music genres, and more! Many of my students are now working musicians, or have gone on to be accepted in undergraduate and graduate music programs. I am certain that I can get you where you want to go.
