About Joseph
You might think I was a person who always enjoyed maths; the truth is I found maths in school quite boring. In fact, I once believed I wasn't any good at it, but I found my passion later than some. I didn't particularly enjoy learning methods that I have no understanding of, so instead I will show you that you can be creative in maths too! I use the mathematics I teach every day, with almost two years of research experience I want to push the boundaries of modern mathematics.

I am an aspiring PhD student with a Master's in mathematics and physics from the University of Warwick. I have taught at GCSE and A-level for almost 4 years now, working with a wide range of students to maximise their potential. I have also taught five undergraduates at the University of Warwick for just under a year. I believe maths is way more fun if you discover it for yourself. Tailoring the lesson to your specific needs, I will ignite your (perhaps dormant, but that's okay) curiosity for mathematics to reconcile misconceptions, rediscover concepts and ultimately think more like a mathematician. Using the Socratic method of simply asking you the right questions, and giving you the right problems, you will understand why and how to solve mathematical problems. Freeing you from the burden of having to memorise methods, we will build your intuition so you can solve the problem your way. My lessons tend to be short and sweet, ranging from 25 - 55 minutes. Whether you're a beginner or a fellow maths-lover, I can help you achieve what you want :).
