About Ashton
Hi! My name is Ashton Dixon. I am an Analytical Chemist with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Hampden-Sydney College. I have worked for companies that focus in chemistry whether it is developing new disinfecting products or running instruments to determine concentrations of chemicals within a solution. I have extensive knowledge of most things chemistry and primarily focus on high school and college level chemistry courses. I am currently in the process of achieving a doctorate in chemistry.

My lessons will focus primarily on subjects that the student may be having difficulty in. I try to have as many visual aids as possible to help cement concepts. My typical lesson plans mainly involve powerpoint presentations or some sort of hands on activity, if possible. My students in the past have always enjoyed how I am able to break down complex ideas into smaller digestible pieces. I often encourage questions from students and try to encourage as much participation as possible.
