Who I Am & Why I Teach – Honest and Real With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the Security & Protection Management industry, I’ve been in the trenches and at the forefront of some of the most complex security challenges. I started my career as a Corporal in Protective Services for the federal government, where I protected diplomatic delegations from all over the world, including close proximity work with President Obama and President Bush, alongside the CIA and Secret Services. My expertise spans security operations management, threat detection, emergency protocols, and technology consulting, especially in areas like X-ray systems. Why did I decide to teach? After years of working in the field, I realized that there’s a massive gap between textbook theory and real-world practice. So many professionals enter the industry with certifications, but they’re not fully prepared for the unpredictable, high-pressure situations they’ll face. I’ve worked on the ground, led large teams, and seen firsthand what works and doesn’t. I teach because I want to share that real-world knowledge. I want to help professionals bridge the gap between theory and practice, giving them the tools they need to excel—not just pass an exam, but thrive in challenging environments. My teaching isn’t about memorizing; it’s about understanding and applying, and that’s where I stand out from the rest. I offer insights that only come from having been there and done that.
