About David
As a high-school teacher I was certified in Latin, English, French, and Spanish. Also studied Greek and German. I have a rich vocabulary from 20 years in schools (including a master's degree) and life-long learning. I can help you learn important vocabulary skills--for tests, and for a lifetime. Research finds that vocabulary size enhances success in academics, careers, and social relationships--because it enables thinking and communication with greater precision, depth, and impact. And correct grammar in speaking and writing is a sine qua non!

It's not about learning one word at a time, but developing SKILLS. Skills to decode thousands of words by analyzing their parts: Latin and Greek roots, prefixes, and suffixes. For lessons I can give you a list of important roots of English derivative words, or you can find them online or in books. For each derivative we'll get the root, definition, part of speech, pronunciation, etc. And look at the importance of context, where there are clues to a word's meaning. I'll use each word in example sentences. Then ask you to practice using each word.
