About Sophie

Hi! I am Sophie! A Chinese native speaker. Currently study Chinese language and literature (normal) in university. I've got Chinese teaching certificate in last term. Now I'm teaching Chinese in a middle school as an intern teacher!
Involving two fields (Chinese/education) in my learning experience, I have a deeper understanding of both ancient and modern Chinese literature, also acquired all essential knowledge of education.
The language and the culture behind it are tightly linked and inseparable. And I am excited to show you the charm of Chinese language and the wonders of its unique culture!

About the lesson

Highly personalized for each individuals, my lessons aims to help you improve your Chinese to the next level in an easy and interesting way.

Here' the outline of our lesson:
For starters, we'll briefly review the key points of last lesson, laying the foundation for the next step.

There's two ways to develop the main part of our lesson, suited to different levels and different purposes of language learning. (Usually we can mixed them up or just do it the way you like!)
1. Introduce a new contest or a new dialogue, which includes a few vocabularies and grammars you aren't familiar with.
Read and guess the meaning of the new words based on context. Then learning new words and grammars with rich example sentences and lively daily using instances.
2. Creat a situation, such as taking an order in a restaurant, boarding planes, visiting places of interest etc. Fulfill the situation with dialogues, including multiple ways of questions and answers.

Interactive practice. Engage in creative dialogues or role plays to apply what you've just learned.
Based on the content of the lesson, I'll play some interesting videos or Chinese songs (we can learn how to sing or just enjoy it!) The main point is to fully immerse ourselves in the language environment of Chinese. I'll also provide reading materials for you according to your preferences if you like!

Through out the lessons, I'll create some games in order to help you memorize difficult vocabularies. I am excited to share Chinese cultures, historical stories, all kinds snakes amazing traditional clothes from each dynasty and much more!!
