About Zack

With 8 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the privilege of guiding students through all stages of their guitar journey, from first chords to live performances. I believe that learning guitar should be both structured and fun, with lessons tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I emphasize strong foundational technique—good posture, finger strength, chord changes, and rhythm—while making sure theory and creativity are integrated naturally. I use songs and styles that excite each student to keep lessons engaging and relevant, whether they prefer rock, pop, blues, or folk. I’ve seen students transform through consistent practice, gaining not only technical skills but also confidence and musical expression. One unforgettable experience was helping a group of students form a band, compose original music, and perform at a local festival—seeing their teamwork and passion was inspiring. I also teach improvisation, songwriting, and performance skills to give students a comprehensive musical education. Technology tools like backing tracks, metronomes, and recording apps play a big role in my teaching to enhance practice and musical understanding. Above all, I strive to create a supportive and positive environment where students feel motivated to explore and grow. My goal is to empower every student to enjoy playing guitar as a rewarding and lifelong pursuit.

I use problem-solving techniques to help you overcome challenges in playing, rhythm, and creativity. Instead of giving you quick fixes, I help you understand the ""why"" behind each problem and how to move forward with confidence.

Integrity guides the way I teach. I value honesty and patience and give feedback that helps you grow. You’ll always know how you’re doing and what to improve, in a safe and respectful learning environment.

Flexibility is important in my teaching. Some students want to play by ear, some love reading tabs, and others want to learn music theory. I adjust to your learning style so lessons feel natural and effective.

Along with Guitar, I also teach connected subjects like beginner theory, improvisation, and performance confidence. Whether you're learning for fun or aiming for serious skills, I’m here to support your music journey.
