  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

I teach Math and English, two subjects that many students either love or dread. My interest in both started pretty naturally. With Math, it always felt like solving a game, the logic just clicked with me. And with English, it was the beauty of expression like how words could shape thoughts, moods, and even confidence. During school, I often helped classmates with doubts, and I noticed how explaining things came naturally to me. That spark of understanding I saw in their eyes made me realize this could be more than just a skill.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My biggest motivation is my own teachers. I had a few who didn’t just teach, they connected with their fellow students .They made learning feel like an experience. I have seen firsthand how a good teacher can completely change a student’s confidence and outlook. I wanted to be that person for someone else. Plus, there’s a certain joy in helping a student go from “I can’t” to “I just did.”
  • How does your work help society?

Every student I teach is, in a way, a small contribution to the future. When a child learns to think critically or communicate clearly, they're not just doing better in school, they're becoming more capable individuals. Whether it’s helping them tackle tough math problems or guiding them to express themselves confidently in English, I know the ripple effect of those wins goes far beyond the classroom.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

My mom. She wasn’t a teacher by profession, but she had the heart of one. Whether it was a life skill, a recipe, or a tough decision, she’d always break things down patiently. Her way of explaining things and her belief that learning takes time, that really shaped how I approach teaching today.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

When I’m not teaching, I wear my digital marketer hat. I enjoy working on content strategies, SEO, and helping small businesses find their voice online. It’s a different kind of creativity. One where data and storytelling meet. Apart from that, I like experimenting with reels, mood boards, and sometimes just unwinding with a good podcast or solo cafe visits for ideation.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

There was this student who had a strong dislike for math. Even the mention of it would stress her out. We started with baby steps, slowly building her confidence. I remember the day she solved a word problem on her own, she looked at me, surprised, and said, "Wait… I actually did that?" happily. Moments like those are everything. That shift from fear to belief never gets old.
