I assess each student individually and base my programmes on the specific needs and requirements of each individual student. The approach I use depends on the individual's needs, abilities, personality. I try to make my tuition as practical as possible.

Personal statement

My teaching career commenced in 1992 as a Sole charge, High School Music teacher in Taumarunui. I continued to develop further as a Music and German teacher in High Schools and Intermediate Schools, teaching both here and overseas. After retraining as a Primary School Teacher in 1998, I taught in Primary Schools until the birth of my daughter in 2008. I returned to work a few years later as a Primary and Preschool relief teacher. Between 2015 and 2017 I worked in various roles, including working as an Educator at Orana Wildlife Park, relieving in several schools and tutoring at Kip McGrath enabling me to develop my skills teaching outside the classroom (LEOTC) and acquire useful skills in extending both reluctant and very able students in Numeracy and Literacy. Since 2018 I have taught full time in the Yr 7/8 and Yr 5/6 syndicates at Pegasus Bay School. This has provided me with invaluable opportunities to develop my MLE collaborative and co-operative teaching skills as well as my IT skills.
I am very passionate about education and am strongly committed to supporting every child to grow and achieve their utmost potential through providing them with as many experiences, both in and out of the classroom, as possible.

Personal statement

My teaching career commenced in 1992 as a Sole charge, High School Music teacher in Taumarunui. I continued to develop further as a Music and German teacher in High Schools and Intermediate Schools, teaching both here and overseas. After retraining as a Primary School Teacher in 1998, I taught in Primary Schools until the birth of my daughter in 2008. I returned to work a few years later as a Primary and Preschool relief teacher. Between 2015 and 2017 I worked in various roles, including working as an Educator at Orana Wildlife Park, relieving in several schools and tutoring at Kip McGrath enabling me to develop my skills teaching outside the classroom (LEOTC) and acquire useful skills in extending both reluctant and very able students in Numeracy and Literacy. Since 2018 I have taught full time in the Yr 7/8 and Yr 5/6 syndicates at Pegasus Bay School. This has provided me with invaluable opportunities to develop my MLE collaborative and co-operative teaching skills as well as my IT skills.
I am very passionate about education and am strongly committed to supporting every child to grow and achieve their utmost potential through providing them with as many experiences, both in and out of the classroom, as possible.

Personal statement

My teaching career commenced in 1992 as a Sole charge, High School Music teacher in Taumarunui. I continued to develop further as a Music and German teacher in High Schools and Intermediate Schools, teaching both here and overseas. After retraining as a Primary School Teacher in 1998, I taught in Primary Schools until the birth of my daughter in 2008. I returned to work a few years later as a Primary and Preschool relief teacher. Between 2015 and 2017 I worked in various roles, including working as an Educator at Orana Wildlife Park, relieving in several schools and tutoring at Kip McGrath enabling me to develop my skills teaching outside the classroom (LEOTC) and acquire useful skills in extending both reluctant and very able students in Numeracy and Literacy. Since 2018 I have taught full time in the Yr 7/8 and Yr 5/6 syndicates at Pegasus Bay School. This has provided me with invaluable opportunities to develop my MLE collaborative and co-operative teaching skills as well as my IT skills.
I am very passionate about education and am strongly committed to supporting every child to grow and achieve their utmost potential through providing them with as many experiences, both in and out of the classroom, as possible.
