About Emily
I am a PhD Chemist, with extensive experience of working with young people in STEM subjects. My aim is not only to help my students reach their goals, but also to make STEM subjects more accessible and interesting to them.

I aim to make my lessons at what my students need the most support with in that moment. Often, this means providing complementary lessons to what is going on in their classroom, but can also mean spending more time on something that the student is struggling with.
Whilst completing my PhD, I took part in several outreach projects which made science accessible and interesting to a range of audiences. This has meant that I can adapt my communication depending on the needs of the student.
My tutoring sessions will range from 1-1.5 hours, and are suited for those who need support with Chemistry up to A Level, Maths up to GCSE and KS3 Science.
