About Hriday
My fascination with Mathematics started with a love for logical patterns and problem-solving. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, equipping me with both theoretical understanding and applied skills. Over 10 years of teaching, I have guided students from elementary school math through SAT math and Calculus, helping them develop conceptual clarity, analytical skills, and academic confidence. My teaching philosophy emphasizes making abstract topics accessible, stimulating curiosity, and nurturing independent problem-solving abilities. I prioritize understanding each student’s learning style and adapting lessons accordingly. Using visual explanations, stepwise instruction, real-world examples, and practice exercises, I make topics like geometry, algebra, and Calculus engaging and comprehensible. I encourage active questioning, experimentation, and iterative learning to create a supportive environment for learners. Outside teaching, I remain involved in mathematics through problem-solving, research, and curriculum development. This allows me to integrate contemporary methods and real-world applications into lessons. Teaching mathematics is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow from uncertainty to mastery, developing resilience, analytical reasoning, and independence that extend beyond academics.

Mathematics becomes accessible when learners understand concepts rather than memorizing formulas. My lessons include elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, emphasizing logical reasoning, structured problem-solving, and analytical thinking. I guide students to recognize patterns, develop systematic approaches, and solve problems confidently. Each lesson integrates step-by-step instruction, hands-on exercises, and reflective discussion to promote independent thinking and mastery.
Lesson structure is tailored to the student’s level. Elementary learners strengthen arithmetic, number sense, and basic problem-solving. Middle-level learners focus on algebraic reasoning, geometry, and proportional thinking typical of middle school math. Advanced learners study algebra, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus, with focus on accuracy, analytical reasoning, and methodical problem-solving. Guided practice, problem-solving exercises, and feedback ensure comprehension and skill retention.
Mathematics lessons also cultivate patience, focus, and logical discipline. As learners gain confidence, they apply reasoning skills in various subjects and real-life contexts.
