About Nina
My passion for Mathematics developed from an early appreciation of patterns, logic, and problem-solving. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Mathematics Education, combining deep mathematical knowledge with effective teaching strategies. Over 11 years of experience, I have supported students across a wide range of levels, from elementary school math foundations to SAT math preparation and introductory Calculus, helping them build clarity and confidence step by step. I approach teaching with patience and adaptability. I take time to understand how each student thinks, then tailor explanations using visual models, real-life examples, and guided practice. I encourage questions and exploration, helping learners see mistakes as part of growth rather than failure. This supportive approach allows students to develop confidence and independence in their mathematical thinking. Beyond teaching, I remain actively engaged with mathematics through problem-solving, curriculum design, and educational research. Teaching math is deeply meaningful to me because I see students transform their mindset—from anxiety to confidence. Helping learners recognize their ability to think logically and solve problems remains one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

Mathematics becomes accessible when students understand the logic behind procedures rather than memorizing formulas. My lessons integrate elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus in a structured and student-friendly way. I focus on building conceptual clarity, helping learners understand how ideas connect and why methods work. Lessons emphasize step-by-step reasoning, visual explanation, and guided problem-solving so students develop confidence and independence in their thinking.
Lesson content is carefully adapted to each student’s level. Younger learners strengthen number sense, arithmetic fluency, and foundational reasoning skills through elementary school math concepts. Middle school math students develop confidence in geometry, algebraic thinking, and proportional reasoning. Advanced learners focus on algebraic manipulation, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus, with emphasis on accuracy, logical flow, and exam readiness. Practice problems and reflective discussion are used consistently to reinforce understanding.
Mathematics lessons also build patience, focus, and resilience. As students gain confidence, they become more willing to attempt challenging problems and think critically. Many learners discover that math is not intimidating, but structured and learnable.
