About Tessa
I’m a Spanish tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of International Studies, majoring in Spanish with a focus on Latin American Studies and Performing Arts. My teaching style is immersive, creative, and deeply rooted in the rich culture of Latin America. I believe language comes alive through sound, story, and expression. In my lessons, we dive into Latin American cinema, music, and pop culture to bring Spanish to life. We explore song lyrics, movie dialogues, cultural references, and regional expressions to build both understanding and fluency. These tools help students hear real language in context and expand their vocabulary naturally. This approach strengthens listening skills, improves pronunciation, and makes grammar more intuitive. It also keeps students engaged and connected to the language emotionally and culturally.
