My lesson structure is directed by you, be it guidance on your current project, ideation and brainstorming, carrying out design research, or dialling in you technical skills as an Industrial Designer.
My design philosophy is user centred. I have worked in Design for Disability and Mobility for the past five years with the intention of meaningfully improving peoples lives.
The tools I have mastered to carry out this work are a pen & paper (blue biro & fine tip sharpies are my preference), digital sketching with Procreate, CAD (Solidworks, Fusion360 & Rhino), Adobe Creative Suite for product presentation/brand identity and Keyshot or Blender for renderings and Animation.
I am a Senior Industrial Designer with 6 years experience in local & international industry, alongside 3 years of teaching experience at design schools in Wellington & Christchurch.
I have lead classes of up-to 30 ID students and supervised students completing their final capstone projects at Victoria University of Wellington's School of Architecture & Design and University of Canterbury's School of Design.
I have had the opportunity to help guide students through their undergraduate degree's seeing many become my peers making a meaningful difference in the domestic and international design space.
