About Ruth
I'm Ruth, an A-level student in my final year of sixth from studying Biology, English literature and Psychology. A big part of my studies has always been essay writing, and as I entered A level and am now studying English literature, I also undertook an EPQ qualification where I chose to write a dissertation. Im passionate about helping students achieve the grades that they deserve as I believe that achieving high grades is not always about having the knowledge, but simply knowing the right techniques and how exams work. Bing a psychology student and psychology degree applicant myself, I've been able to apply these techniques to revision which helped in my GCSEs, and so I want to help others who maybe struggling to reach their potential.

My lessons would typically last one hour. During this hour I am able to go through help with any homework concerns that the student may have. I like to let students lead by helping them with their weakest areas within the subject. I use mark schemes and past papers as my leading teaching method as I believe this is the most effective way to revise something like English and it has been proven to work for many. Exam technique is really important in English so helping with time management, essay structure and the basic fundamentals/techniques is something I focus on as this in my experience the key to success in improving your grade in English.
