About Olivia
My name is Olivia, and I am a finance and economics student from South Africa. I am currently completing a study abroad semester at Trinity College Dublin. I have always had a passion for teaching and have worked with many private students as well as volunteered with education centred foundations. I also completed my TEFL level 5 certification nearly 2 years ago to allow myself the opportunity to take my teaching a step further.
I am very professional, while I have also found that being a student has allowed me to connect with my students on a different level, which I think is essential for building trust between tutor and pupil to ensure the best outcomes. My years of experience has also taught me so much about working with children and teenagers, and I feel full confidence that we can achieve great results through our work and lessons together.

I have been tutoring maths, physics and chemistry for over 7 years to children and teenagers ranging from 4th till 12th grade. I have worked primarily with private students as well volunteering with NGOs focused on education and tutoring. I teach school students from ages 9-18 at any level they should require.
My lessons are typically an hour long, but provisions can be made should students wish for longer lessons. I believe that the best way to improve your maths, physics and chemistry is "practice practice, practice!" I like to spend majority of the time working through examples together so students are prepared for questions in their tests and exams.
I also make sure that students fully understand each topic and concept before we begin and am willing to keep explaining as many times as needed (I know that everyone learns differently and at different paces!)
