About the lesson

I give lessons to primary school children in Maths and English KS1/KS2. Also adults wanting to enhance their English and maths. I have taught English as a second language to foreign language students at a local college. I have a TEFL certificate and have also attended a TESOL course in teaching English as a foreign language. I also teach chemistry up to GCSE and have a degree in biochemistry from Oxford University.

My lessons are well structured and based on the needs of the student. I am friendly and always listen to what the student and parents would like me to teach in order to gain that pass. I am relaxed and enjoy teaching engaging sessions where your children learn.

About Sam

I am a private tutor, but have taught in schools. I have taught for the last 20 years for a variety of different groups of students from medical school students (18-35 years) to English Language Schools (teenagers) and private tutoring (5-15 years).
I have taught one to one, small groups and groups of over 30 students. My latest students have all passed their GCSEs in Chemistry and Biology. My primary school students have been marked for the top set in their secondary school and have been told by their school teacher that that they have made rapid progress with my help.

My student was very well mannered and inquisitive and enthusiastic. A little bit shy but it was his first lesson. I need to get to grips with the technology and make the lesson more streamlined. That will improve things. I had plenty of help from Hong Kong. I am working on a second lesson. I did overrun but just wanted to get to know Ethan better. He is a bright spark.

As a worker she was calm and efficient; as a colleague she was fair. Of all the deputy librarians in the Institute, she was the kindest in her attitude towards me.
She then left the Institute of Neurology Library to move to a more senior post in the Library of the British Medical Association. However, we continued to keep in touch; indeed, she invited me to her wedding. I have
known her now for over 18 years.
