About Hazel
My passion for guitar began when I started exploring acoustic music during my early education. I enjoyed discovering how simple chord patterns could create rich musical sound. This interest motivated me to pursue formal music training and complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Guitar Performance.
For the past 7 years, I have helped students learn guitar at different levels of experience. Some learners are beginners who want to explore music for the first time, while others want to improve their rhythm and chord technique. My teaching approach focuses on patience and step-by-step instruction.
Outside teaching, I enjoy practicing guitar and listening to music from different cultures. Studying various musical styles helps me understand new rhythm patterns and chord progressions. Teaching guitar allows me to share my love for music while helping students develop confidence and creativity through playing.

My guitar lessons help students build a strong foundation while enjoying the process of learning music. Beginners start by understanding the parts of the guitar, correct hand placement, and basic strumming patterns. I guide students through simple chord shapes and rhythm exercises so they can start playing easy songs early in their learning journey. These early lessons help learners become comfortable with the instrument.
As students gain experience, lessons expand to include chord progressions, scale practice, and more detailed rhythm patterns. I explain how finger pressure, strumming direction, and timing influence the quality of sound produced by the guitar. Students practice moving between chords smoothly while maintaining a steady rhythm. These activities help strengthen coordination between both hands.
Regular practice is important for improving guitar skills. I encourage students to practice small parts of songs carefully before playing them completely. Over time, learners develop stronger finger control and greater rhythm awareness. My goal is to help students enjoy guitar playing while steadily improving their musical ability.
