As a near-native speaker who has lived, worked, studied, and led trips in France and Canada, I strive to share both knowledge of French language and French and francophone culture with my students of all ages.
I am well versed in a variety of communicative and immersion teaching methods and techniques and will tailor sessions to best suit your specific needs and goals, whether that be providing supplement for a current class you are taking, helping you prepare for a study abroad or a vacation, or simply supporting you in the exciting journey of learning a new language by conversing in French with you!
I make learning fun for all ages, and I enjoy getting to build strong relationships with my students! My undergraduate degree was in French language and literature, so upper level college students, I'm happy to help you too! About Colleen
I am a certified French teacher with my MA in Education seeking to take on more tutoring jobs in my spare time. I recently moved from Michigan where I had been teaching French for the past 4 years at middle and high school levels. I have tutored for the past 10 years, working with students as young as 5 and up to higher level college students. I currently teach elementary French at an immersion school.
