My teaching method is to enable students to explore and learn through guidance and support. I have a double bachelor's degree in zoology (from India)and Biodiversity management from Unitec. I am tutoring level 6 students for the Research Methods course at Unitec for the last 2 years who have been able to achieve better grades and have given me good feedback. The course coordinators also believe in my teaching abilities and offered me a tutorial assistant role again this semester.
I am passionate about nature and love working with people and therefore I have bachelor's degrees in zoology and biodiversity management. I have worked as a biosecurity advisor and a park ranger with the Auckland council since January 2018. I am presently working as a tutorial assistant for the Research Methods level 6 course at Unitec. This involves statistics, Excel, R, and Rstudio. I have also done a research project on Myrtle rust which provides inputs into a bigger project - Beyond Myrtle Rust headed by Landcare Research. I am continuing the other role of a biosecurity champion with the Auckland Council that is to raise awareness about biosecurity issues to people similar to my tutor role to enhance learning in people of all ages and help conserve our nature.
