I take quite an involved approach with my students. Generally I'll ask them to send me the areas that they're struggling in, and also get them to send me the relevant course material. This allows me to prepare for the tutoring session, and design it from the perspective of their course. From here, I essentially run through the focus areas as a 'list' in the session, and work through any questions they might have. I like to be approachable, so I always want to make my students comfortable enough to ask questions such that they are never left wondering.
I find it important for me to explain concepts in a number of different ways - sometimes a new perspective is the best pathway to consolidate understanding.
I have a current role teaching anatomy at a university. On top of this, I have been tutoring students in an array of subjects for ~7 years, and I love doing it. I also work as a podiatrist.
I have taught all levels of ability at all ages, from year 8 students to final year university students. I love seeing my students achieve great results and smash their goals!
