About Tom
I have completed my first year medical school exams and so I know how difficult they are. I have a number of different learning methods that I would love to share, which really helped me learn the vast medical syllabus. I have studied all aspects of the course including clinical skills (OSCE preparation), population perspective (public health studies), therapeutics, and ethics and professionalism. I have previous experience as a maths tutor throughout my sixth form years, and I hope to apply the same caring and and understand approach to medical tutoring.

I am 18 years old and I am from the Isle of Man currently home for the summer from the University of Liverpool. I aim to incorporate my own learning techniques that I used myself into my lessons, including acronyms, practice questions, and flashcards. My lessons would include focusing on particular areas of worrying, and I would design the lesson around those worries. I know how hard the first year of medical school is firsthand, so I will take a slow and understanding approach where it is required while still covering vast areas of information throughout the lesson. In order to maximise learning time, I will set a few homework questions (where possible) that the students will complete and send to me before the lessons which I will mark, and then quickly run through during the lesson.
